Scott Shafer, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Prior to Mr. Shafer’s role as CEO of Absolute Performance, Inc., (API) in 2012, Mr. Shafer was an API board member with a proven track record of success in technology and business process outsourcing for global companies including Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Fiserv and Firstsource.
In addition, Mr. Shafer co-founded a global outsourcing company that grew to more than 1,500 employees in 3 years. He also oversaw the growth of technology services and analytics company as Chief Operating Officer from early stage to more than $100 million in annual revenue in six years.
Mr. Shafer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Illinois State University.
Jerry Champlin, President and Chief Strategy Officer
Mr. Champlin founded Absolute Performance, Inc., (API) in 1997 with initial focus on solving core business application performance and availability challenges. He is responsible for strategic technology leadership of the company including guiding the continuous evolution of System Shepherd® APM as a Service Platform and defining strategic business services for the company. Mr. Champlin serves as a trusted advisor to major customers on topics ranging from applying Application Lifecycle and Service Management best practices, SaaS application architecture and Comprehensive Security Program development.
Mr. Champlin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Carleton College and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
David Ferguson, Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Mr. Ferguson has more than 20 years of proven large-scale technology operations leadership for companies such as CenturyLink Technology Services and over 10 years with Absolute Performance, Inc. (API). Accordingly, Mr. Ferguson has extensive experience in ITIL-based operations global service delivery from multiple locations and providers across hybrid technologies. Currently, Mr. Ferguson oversees the delivery, support and management of infrastructure services for API customers of all sizes and complexity.
Mr. Ferguson is a graduate of Rutgers University with a BS in Religious Studies and Computer Science.
Edward Moon, Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Mr. Moon has a technology career spanning more than 20 years from startups through Fortune 500 class companies including Logitech, Amdocs and Amazon. Mr. Moon’s increasing levels of responsibility in both engineering and management roles throughout his career were ideally aligned to Absolute Performance, Inc. (API).
Accordingly, since 2015, API’s technology complex has directly benefited from Mr. Moon’s strong engineering leadership and strategy formulation. Moreover, API’s customers have benefited from Mr. Moon’s technology leadership, bridging infrastructure technologies ranging from Legacy systems to SaaS, cloud and related modern technologies and modernization initiatives coupled with Comprehensive Security Program development.
Jenny Spellman, Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Compliance
Prior to joining Absolute Performance, Inc., (API) in 2013, Ms. Spellman was Vice President of Global Shared Services and Development for Global Healthcare Exchange, which touches more than 80 percent of the acute care hospital beds in the United States.
Ms. Spellman has held executive roles encompassing technology, operations and compliance at such companies as Kaiser Permanente, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and MatchLogic. Ms. Spellman’s unique combination of proven experience in technology, business, and compliance has earned her a trusted advisor role with many API customers.
Ms. Spellman has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Gustavus Adolphus College.
Christina Wafford, Vice President of Finance and Administration
Since 2014, Ms. Wafford has overseen all aspects of Absolute Performance, Inc., (API) corporate administration including finance, accounting, human resources, policies, procedures, budgeting and facilities management.
Ms. Wafford brings more than 18 years of business, finance, and accounting experience to API. Her experience includes international and domestic, public and private company acquisitions and merger and integration planning, resulting in three M&A events and successful capital raises.
Christina has a B.S. in Economics from Colorado College, and earned her MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver.
